Personal
I'm a West Virginia native born in the Chicago area and raised in a small town in West Virginia. My youth was filled with extra-curricular activities and organization centered around school, church and athletics. I graduated from West Liberty State College, a small state college in the panhandle of West Virginia with a BS degree in Business Administration. I've been in the Triangle area now for over 28 years and have been married to Don Hanan for 26 years. Don, a former Marine and a graduate of Guilford College, is a 33 year veteran with the City of Durham; retired as both a Batallion Fire Chief and Police Lieutenant. He is also retired from owning a small construction company. Don wears many hats with the Kim Hanan Group; there is not just one job description for him. Kim and Don's current hobbies include spending time with family, friends and pets, traveling, animal rescue and placement, spending time at the lake, boating and volunteering with various youth programs and organizations.
